Swedish energy data specialist Eliq, expands into France to accelerate market adoption of its utility customer engagement software platform.
Gothenburg, Sweden (January 15th, 2018) – Eliq offers energy monitoring software and data analytics for energy suppliers, enabling their customers to control their energy costs in a more intelligent way, increasing customer satisfaction and engagement with loyalty as a result.
Today, Eliq announces an expansion of its market presence to include France. The company has relocated its Head of Business Development and founder, Joakim Ottander to Paris to grow its market adoption among innovative, customer-centric energy suppliers in conjunction with the nation-wide rollout of smart meters.

The residential energy market in France was opened for alternative energy suppliers in 2007. But ten years later, many households are still unaware that they are able to switch energy provider, to allow them to receive the best pricing and service. The market is still heavily dominated by EDF, the state-controlled company, though it is slowly changing.
More recently, new players have entered the energy retail market in an attempt to balance the market share to a true liberalised one. Casino Group, for example, has introduced an energy retail unit, Greenyellow, striving to be “the energy provider that understands everything.” Greenyellow provides its customers a complimentary Le Pack Suivi Energie (Energy Monitoring Package), powered by Eliq. The package includes Eliq’s white label app that monitor real-time energy consumption which, with time, its cloud analytics will learn the profile of each home and deliver proactive and insightful advice to deliver personalised service.
Eliq’s Head Office is located in Gothenburg, Sweden and the company also plans to strengthen its UK presence in the near future, another strategic move to help a market where smart meters are being rolled out.
